Nordoff & Robbins
Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice.
They deliver music therapy to a range of clients across the UK, including some of the most vulnerable people in society. Meeting the growing need for music therapy by training music therapists and ensuring that their skills
are not only maintained but developed.
The Salmon Youth Centre - Bermondsey
Salmon Youth Centre has been reaching out to young people in inner city London for over a hundred years. They inspire young people to reach their potential and contribute positively to the community in which they live.
One Tree Planted
A non-profit organisation focused on global reforestation. They have helped to plant over 100 million trees. Their actions include urban reforestation projects and help to reestablish and support biodiversity all over the world.
The Manna Society - London Bridge
Over the last 40 years The Manna Society have had the privilege of helping 1,000s of people at a time in their lives when they are going through great hardship. For some, the fall into destitution will be very short lived but unfortunately for many poverty will accompany them throughout their lives. This is not surprising when we realise that one in four of those in care become homeless later in life. They have never had the security of a stable home and that insecurity follows people throughout their lives.
For 40 years The Manna Society has been helping these people in need.
The Borough Food Cooperative
The Borough Food Cooperative was set up by St. George the Martyr Church in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the help of many fabulous volunteers, they began preparing and delivering food parcels to nearby households and families. The response was so positive, and the need so great, that the project developed and has continued since.
Big Local Works - Bermondsey
Big Local Works was established in 2017 to help improve the lives of local people by preparing for and sustaining them in employment and self-employment, supporting entrepreneurship, providing benefits and welfare support and by developing new community initiatives to meet local needs. Also working closely to deliver these important targets with all sections of the local community, and with partner organisations.
